The Island’s new and stylish venue, Fumo 33, is ideally located at the top of Union Street in Ryde. This wood-fired kitchen and cocktail bar boasts a contemporary Mediterranean feel, thanks to its unique decor and laid back ambiance. Here, you can enjoy a tasty breakfast, light bites, lunch, dinner with friends and family or just a casual glass of wine, signature cocktail or beer served in chilled glasses.

The concept for the eatery and bar is the collaboration of a team, who have found inspiration from restaurants, cafes and bars from around the continent.

Fumo 33 is particularly proud of its wood-fired oven, which gives a distinct smoky flavour to its pizzas and Mediterranean cuisine. Oliver describes the ambience of Fumo 33 as “fire in the kitchen and smoke in the bar.” The aim has been to create a warm and cosy atmosphere for all, a true oasis for an Island winter.

Everyone loves the food at Fumo 33. This is what gives the venue its ‘wow’ factor. Since opening at the start of September, it has earned a reputation among Islanders in the know for creating gastronomic delights from both Britain and the continent of Europe. It offers a great ‘classic meets contemporary’ style, including classic pizza and pasta, grills, a unique Sunday Brunch and smoked speciality dishes, created by an array of influences from their talented chefs served out of the open kitchen.

If it is a traditional English fry up you are looking for to start your day, Fumo 33 can give you exactly what you have been looking for: a taste for every palette, just the way Islanders like it. And their homely Sunday ‘sharing platter’ roasts are every bit as good as your Mum’s cooking.

Fumo 33 makes full use of all the wonderful produce grown here on the Island and caught in the surrounding waters. Much of the seafood has been caught by the fishermen of Ventnor, the tomatoes used in the pizza were nurtured in the Arreton Valley, and the garlic for the continental dishes comes from our very own Garlic Farm in Newchurch.

As well as being a delightful location to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, after 10pm on a Friday and Saturday, Fumo 33 provides a stylish late night location for Islanders to hang out, from early in the evening until the early hours of the morning. After 10pm, the bar takes centre stage, as do the superb range of cocktails, wines and beers.

When you’re clocked out for the day, the staff know that it’s something a bit more exciting than coffee you’re reaching for. Fumo’s can certainly offer something decadent, which will leave you both shaken and stirred.

Clients can enjoy a classic, contemporary or signature smoking cocktails prepared by Fumo’s talented mixologists or make a request for a unique drink of their choice from the menu. Particularly popular are the ‘smoky’ cocktails: these include the ‘Ello Mary, a classic Bloody Mary with yellow tomatoes and a hint of bacon in the flavour. Another favourite is the Cosmopolitan, which boasts of a smoky orange flavour.

If music is your thing, then do drop in. Let resident DJ AJ Halo help you chill out with the perfect mix of groovy house, funky and soulful vibes and smokin’ hot music every Friday and Saturday night. What a perfect way to end a stressful week!
